Dear Ms. Sheets:

Please provide me with the following data:

1. How many outstanding warrants exist in total for felonies in general.

2. How many outstanding warrants exist in total for the crime of murder.

According to Special Order 40 (copy enclosed), LAPD's Area/Division Records Unit forwards Arrest Reports for illegal aliens which must be marked "Undocumented Alien" to both the INS and LAPD Detective Headquarters Division. Thus the LAPD has all the records necessary to answer requests numbers 3 and 4.

3. How many outstanding warrants exist for only UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS for felonies in general.

4. How many outstanding warrants exist for only UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS for the crime of murder.
