Hal is Jewish, is married to a Latina who illegally immigrated from Mexico in 1989 (now a proud U.S. Citizen), and Hal and his wife have three adopted daughters whose combined ancestry is Mexican, Honduran, and Filipino. An older daughter of Hal's is married to a Black-American, and Hal's brother's wife immigrated from El Salvador. How's that for family diversity?
Hal is the son of immigrants. His native language is Yiddish. Hal is tri-lingual if you count English and his conversational Spanish. Hal believes an individual who is bilingual is blessed, but a bilingual country is a curse. Hal believes that reasonably controlled, traditional, legal immigration is good for America, but that massive out of control illegal immigration is destroying America.
